Ken Taylor Makerspace

Dear Parents/Guardians, We are in the process of creating a school Makerspace in our Learning Commons. What’s a Makerspace? It is a place where students can gather to make and create. Our Makerspace will focus on building, robotics, technology, coding, sewing, or a combination of these skills.  A Makerspace allows students to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover using a variety of tools and materials. It promotes critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, creativity, and design thinking.     In order to get started on this space, we would like to start to collect items that we can use in this space.  If you have any items that you would like to donate to the school, please send your child with them in a sealed Ziploc bag. We will be collecting from May 23 – June 2.   Please note that all students at Kenneth D. Taylor School will use these materials and they will not be returned.
